Born and raised in the blue collar North Jersey town of Belleville and the son of a deli-grocery owner, Dr. Biase knows all about serving the public and being "down to earth." For almost two decades Dr. Biase has provided state-of-the-art care with an old school touch. His commitment to providing quality patient care is clearly evident by the personal touch he adds to all his patient encounters. Whether day or night, he believes in personally calling his outpatient surgical cases and patients with their blood-work, pathology and x-ray results.
Dr. Biase is married and has two children. His son enjoys playing football and begins second year of college in 2012. At the same time his daughter is starting her senior year in high school. He spends most of his free time involved in sports.
He was Phi Beta Kappa of Molecular Biology and Spanish at Vanderbilt University 1985, as well as Alpha Omega Alpha and National Medical Honor Society at Rutgers Medical School 1989. After college Dr. Biase worked at Beth Israel Medical Center/Mount Sinai School of Medicine and received the Norman Stoller Award-Medical Center's Outstanding Surgical Resident. He served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Bethesda Memorial Hospital 2000-2001. He is Fluent in both Italian and Spanish.
