Dr. Gold takes special pride in devoting extra time with each patient to educate them about their illness and involve them in the significant medical decision making process. A fully informed patient will progress better with treatments that make sense for them. The patient will feel more optimistic and confident that he or she has chosen the best therapy among their various options.
Dr. Gold has served as Chief of Staff and as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, FL. He has also served as Chairman of the Credentials Committee at Bethesda and continues to volunteer as Chairman of the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations Committee at Bethesda.
Dr. Gold is an active cyclist. He is a member and Ride Leader at the Boca Raton Bicycle Club. He is also a member of the zMotion Bicycle Club, the Florida Bicycle Association, and the League of American Bicyclists. Dr. Gold lives with his wife in Boca Raton. Their three children have grown and left the nest. Their eldest daughter graduated from MIT and is now a data analyst in the private sector. Their younger daughter, also from MIT, is a medical student at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Their son, the youngest of the three, is studying jazz drumming at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
He has a Bachelor of Science, Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, 1977 and Doctor of Medicine, Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, 1981. Dr. Gold had his Residency at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, 1981-1986. He is Board Certified and Fluent in Spanish.
